Syracuse is located in the center of New York State in the tranquil rolling hills of the Finger Lakes Region, where there are
over 70 wineries. Syracuse is only a couple of hours drive from the unspoiled Adirondacks. Syracuse is one of the top 10 best cities for asthma sufferers because of low levels of pollen and non-ozone pollution (Sperling's BestPlaces).
Syracuse (almost live) is 75 minutes (flying time) from Washington, DC, with convenient non-stop and connecting flights each day, and only 45 minutes (flying time) from New York City. Syracuse is served by four Amtrak trains daily to New York's Penn Station. Syracuse is also an easy drive to these North American cities: New York (four hours), Philadelphia (four hours), Boston (five hours), Montreal (five hours), Toronto (five hours), Washington, DC (five hours and 45 minutes).
