Review
A review offers a critical analysis of an academic work.
During the semester, everyone will take turns introducing the class to an assigned reading based on a
at least one written review (800 to 1,000 words).

Questions to consider
(1) summarize and actively engage with the material,
(2) assess the value of the contribution in the context of the
existing literature,
(3) assess the validity of presented facts and arguments,
(4) evaluate the research design, methods, and data used (if
applicable),
(5) assess the overall presentation of the argument,
(6) don't forget to identify the strengths of the reviewed
work,
(7) suggest remedies for the weaknesses identified.
Peer review
The peer review will give each student the opportunity to discuss the
project of one of their peers. Please consider the following questions:
- What is the main argument?
- What do you see as the main contribution?
- What methods and sources are used? Are they appropriate?
- What is the strongest point/part?
What is
the weakest point/part?
What are your suggestions on improving and completing this
project?
