End of semester:

I was able to grade the final exam quickly.  Almost all answers were quite good or else way off base, making grading easy.

Insofar as possible, the distribution of grades paralleled that of any one report, viz., same % A's, B's, etc.  Some people significantly raised their course grade and a few significantly lowered it.  I was surprised.

Top score for any question is 4 points, low is 0.

Grades are 7.5-8 A

                  7       A-

                 6-6.5  B+

                 5-5.5  B

                 0-4     C+

I'll submit course grades Friday.  You can compute yours: simply average 3 reports + final exam.

Only one point separated three persons who received B+ from three who received A-.  I was not happy that a tiny difference in performance could yield different grades.  But, even after considering class participation, weighting three papers and test equally left no choice.  Thirteen persons received A or A-, and eight received B+, B or B-.
