Fall of the Berlin Wall Campus Days

http://berlinwall25.syr.edu/

With a grant from the Federal Republic of Germany, we organized a campus-wide celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The International Relations Program, Center for European Studies, German Department, the School of Architecture, and the School of Visual and Performing Arts collaborated throughout the Fall 2014 semester to produce public lectures, film screenings, a digital story contest, an art installation, and the ceremonial building and tearing down of a wall on campus.

Conversations in International Relations

http://www.maxwell.syr.edu/IR_Conversations/

Conversations in IR is a welcoming venue for students to discuss current world events, research programs, and career options with our faculty, visitors, and alumni over cookies and tea.  In addition to a deep pool of research-active faculty within the Maxwell School, we are able to draw upon the expertise of international visitors to Syracuse University and, through the use of videoconferencing technology, our alums and friends working in international affairs across the globe.

Spotlight Series

The Spotlight Series grows out of our annual celebration of International Women’s Day.  By placing a spotlight on particular places and events around the globe, we bring into focus challenges to human security and the reach of international law.
