Trade and Development Group

Each academic year, the Trade, Development, and Political Economy Workshop brings 10-15 scholars to Syracuse to present their recent work and to meet with faculty and graduate students. TDPE also sponsors a public lecture annually, with the objective of engaging the wider community on current challenges in the international economy. Over the last few years, we have been pleased to offer public lectures by Pranab Bardhan of the University of California at Berkeley, Kaushik Basu of Cornell University, Jagdish Bhagwati of Columbia University, Jeffry Frieden of Harvard University,  Catherine Mann of Brandeis University, and Dani Rodrik of Harvard University.
