Tom Keck is Associate Professor of Political Science in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and the author of The Most Activist Supreme Court in History: The Road to Modern Judicial Conservatism. He has also written articles on judicial decision-making and constitutional development that have appeared in the American Political Science Review, Law and Social Inquiry, and Polity, and book chapters on affirmative action and gay rights that have been published by the University Press of Kansas and NYU Press. He is currently writing a book entitled Rights and the Right: Judicial Politics in the Culture Wars. Professor Keck received his B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers University.
