joined the sociology faculty as an assistant professor in Syracuse in 2006. She obtained Ph.D in Sociology and MS in Applied Math and Statistics, both from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Professor Ma has research interests in education and social inequality, paying particular attention to gender, race and nativity differences in higher education and the ensuing labor market outcomes.
